Double the Cuteness
There’s just something about in-home newborn sessions that will always feel a little extra special to me. Maybe it’s the comfort of being surrounded by the spaces you’ve built your life in, or the way everything slows down just enough to really soak it all in. The quiet moments, the tiny stretches, the soft sounds of a home adjusting to new life—it all feels more meaningful somehow.
Welcoming not one, but two new babies into the family is its own kind of beautiful chaos. Double the yawns, double the snuggles, double the love. h These sweet boys were so content, nestled into the arms of the people who already adore them so deeply. You could feel it in every room—the overwhelming love, the pride, the awe.
And then there were big brother and big sister, stepping into brand new roles.
One of the things I’ve learned over the years is that newborn sessions aren’t just about the baby (or babies). They’re about the whole family dynamic shifting and growing. And for older siblings, that can be a lot. New sounds, new routines, more attention on the babies—it’s exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming.
That’s where a little creativity comes in.
Sometimes it looks like turning a moment into a game, letting them lead the way, or giving them a “job” to help with. Sometimes it means sneaking in those snuggly sibling shots in between play breaks, or capturing connection in a more natural, less posed way. There’s no pressure to sit still and smile perfectly—because honestly, those aren’t the moments you’ll treasure most anyway.
Instead, it’s the way big sister gently peeked in at her new brothers, or how big brother stayed close, curious and proud in his own quiet way. It’s those in-between moments that tell the real story.
And that’s what these sessions are all about—documenting your life exactly as it is right now. The beautiful, fleeting, perfectly imperfect season you’re in.
Because these days? They can feel like a whirlwind while you’re living them. Sleep is minimal, emotions are big, and everything feels a little bit like a blur. But they’re also the days you’ll look back on and wish you could hold onto just a little longer.
Thank you for trusting me to capture your family year after year. It truly means the world to be invited into these moments and to watch your story continue to unfold. These two sweet boys are already so deeply loved, and I have no doubt they’re growing up surrounded by the kind of warmth and connection that will shape them in the most beautiful ways.
I can’t wait to see who they become.
