A Dreamy Redwood Maternity Session with Lena & Andrew
Some sessions just feel like magic from the very beginning—and this one absolutely did.
I first connected with Lena after she was referred to me by her sister. I had photographed her sister’s kids along with their mom, and it always means so much to me when families trust me enough to pass my name along to the people they love. Referrals like that are truly one of the greatest compliments in my business.
So when Lena reached out about a maternity session, I was already excited.
Then we decided on the redwoods.
And I knew it was going to be something special.
A Love-Filled Walk Among the Redwoods
The towering redwood trees created the most peaceful, dreamy backdrop for Lena and Andrew’s maternity session. The forest was quiet, the light filtered softly through the branches, and the entire space felt calm and intimate—like the world slowed down just enough for them to soak in this moment together.
Lena wore a beautiful flowing dress that moved so effortlessly as they walked along the trail, and Andrew stayed close by her side the entire time. They spent most of the session laughing, holding hands, and sharing those quiet little moments that say everything without a single word.
Andrew would lean in for a forehead kiss. Lena would smile that smile that just lights up the whole forest.
It was so clear how excited they are for this next chapter.
The Sweet Anticipation of What’s Next
There’s something really special about maternity sessions. They capture a moment that only exists for a short time—the space between who you’ve been as a couple and who you’re about to become as parents.
Right now, it’s just the two of them.
But not for long.
Soon their world will be filled with tiny cries, sleepy cuddles, and the beautiful chaos that comes with welcoming a new baby. One day they might even return to these same trails, only this time with little footsteps beside them.
And if this baby is surrounded by even a fraction of the love Lena and Andrew share, they are already the luckiest little one in the world.
