A New Chapter
Taylor showed up to her graduation session with a mix of excitement and nerves—the kind that sits just beneath the surface of something really meaningful. You could see it at first in the way she held onto her cap a little tighter, taking it all in. But it didn’t take long for that energy to shift. Within minutes, she stepped fully into the moment—confident, radiant, and completely herself. Like she had been here all along.
Taylor is graduating from St. Mary’s College, and what makes this moment even more special is what comes next. She’s stepping into a career as a counselor—someone who will hold space for others, offer guidance, and make a difference in people’s lives in such a meaningful way. There’s something incredibly powerful about capturing someone right at the edge of that transition—before the next chapter begins, but after all the hard work it took to get here.
Using the gorgeous cathedral as the backdrop, we made sure to use the entire session to simply celebrate Taylor. Her hype crew (her husband, Francois, sister, Marissa, and of course ME) made sure she felt her absolute best the entire time. The classic cap toss....it was absolutely perfect. The kind of toss every grad hopes for but can’t always plan—effortless, joyful, and full of that “I did it” feeling.
Then came the confetti cannon—because what’s a milestone like this without a little extra sparkle? It filled the air around her, catching the light and adding that playful, carefree energy that matched her smile perfectly. And then, of course, the champagne pop. A little messy, a lot of fun, and the perfect way to mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. All while Hilary Duff and the Cheetah Girls were playing on the speaker!
This session wasn’t just about celebrating a graduation. It was about honoring who Taylor is right now and everything she’s becoming. Nervous at first, yes—but also strong, capable, and so ready for what’s ahead.
She’s going to do amazing things.
